Regardless of the victims' ethnicity and ideology we support all those who suffer from war, suppression and natural disasters. With special regard to discriminated social groups our main aim is the rapid and unbureaucratical provision of sustainable aid in order to ease adversity and to assist self-help initiatives.
To guarantee fast and effective action in difficult situations we offer our logistics and experience to local cooperating partners.

arche noVa starts project to provide drinking water in Pakistan
arche noVa extends its emergency assistance in Pakistan. Next to distributing relief goods in the upper Swat valley, the team is now preparing for the next step – providing drinking water. In the medium term arche noVa will facilitate the rehabilitation of water systems in the rural project area around Kalam. Furthermore, a drinking water treatment plant is sent to the affected region this week to provide drinking water immediately.

Flood disaster in Pakistan - arche noVa asks for donations.
It is the largest flood disaster since the first weather recording in Pakistan in 1929. Due to the huge amount of water, innumerous buildings have been collapsed and streets have been washed away. The flooding has also caused many landslides which have buried people and their farm animals below. About 600,000 people are waiting in the upper Swat-Valley, which is situated in the mountains in the northern part of the country.

And the winner is … hygiene competitions at schools in Sri Lanka
The winners of the hygiene competition, conducted by our local partner organisation CRDO (Community Resource Development Organisation) at 16 schools in the Batticaloa district, are certain. The competition was part of the still until November 2010 running project for the long term water supply in schools.

Water supply after heavy flooding
Since the middle of June 2010 heavy storms with abundant rainfalls have caused extensive floods, inundations and huge landslides in Myanmar. The districts “Maung Daw” and “Buthidaung” in the northern state Rakhine (in the northwest of the country) are affected in particular.
